     The UNCC ITE Student Chapter has been awarded the "Best Student Chapter" in North Carolina for the 3rd year in a row. After being polished and getting a year added, the Cribbins Cup made the trip back to Charlotte.

September 2009
     Eleven student chapter members participated in home repair activities for the Habitat for Humanity on September 19, 2009. The work day was from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM and all participants were involved on home repair tasks.
     The 91 year old homeowner, had been sleeping in his van for the past several months as termites continued to eat away at the framing, walls, and floorboards of his home. Habitat for Humanity stepped in to provide home repair so the homeowner could move back in to his home. Our student chapter taped windows, prepared exterior walls for siding, installed blocking to support the new floor boards, poured footings in the crawl space for a girder to support the bathroom floorboards, installed bathroom floorboards, and installed scaffolding along the perimeter of the house.
