Announcements Carolinas Conference Carolina's Conference was a great success this year!  Thank you to all our sponsors, especially Stalite, for all their time and effort.  Also, a sincere thank you to all the volunteers, judges, faculty, and students that made this all possible. Conference standings will be posted at a later date. Next year's conference will be held at Duke University. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is one of the oldest professional organizations in the nation. National membership exceeds 140,000, with over 15,000 student members. As a student chapter, our goal is to facilitate interaction between students, faculty, and practicing engineers. Additionally, we sponsor intercollegiate competition, community outreach, society social events. The UNC Charlotte chapter hosts guest speakers from industry and government at biweekly meetings held throughout the semester. We strongly encourage all civil engineering students to pursue professional licensure.
