The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is one of the oldest professional organizations in the nation. National membership exceeds 140,000, with over 15,000 student members. As a student chapter, our goal is to facilitate interaction between students, faculty, and practicing engineers. Additionally, we sponsor intercollegiate competition, community outreach, society social events. The UNC Charlotte chapter hosts guest speakers from industry and government at biweekly meetings held throughout the semester. We strongly encourage all civil engineering students to pursue professional licensure.
