  3. Send results to UNC Charlotte College.  SAT code - 5105; ACT code – 3163.

AP and IB Courses:

AP and IB courses can be used as college credit hours. They do not impact your GPA, as there are no grades associated with them, but they do count as hours earned. If they are equivalent to a courses needed for your degree, they can apply to your degree. Some courses may be equivalent to courses at the University, but not specifically applicable to your degree. A complete listing of current AP credits can be viewed at

IB course credits can be found at

Students who are not initially admitted to the College of Engineering, but who are interested in obtaining an engineering or engineering technology degree, still have the opportunity. In some cases, students may be able to transfer into the college prior to their first semester, assuming they meet eligibility requirements. Contact a College of Engineering freshman advisor or let your advisor know during SOAR.

Students who are denied admission to engineering or freshman engineering may follow the freshman year curriculum and still enroll in College of Engineering courses. Upon successful completion of all first-year courses with a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5, students can complete a Change of Major form and formally transfer into their desired major.
