While all your engineering software needs are met by the COE Mosaic computing system available in public labs and via remote access to the MosaicAnywhere virtual lab, the PCS group has tested and deployed software that we prefer and recommend for your personal PC system. Click here to see the list of suggested software for general use on your PC. The UNC Charlotte Bookstore offers many software titles (including Microsoft Office) at extremely attractive prices.
We also continue to explore programs with software vendors for the COE faculty and students for packages that may be helpful to install on your personal computer. At this time the Microsoft Developer's Network Academic Alliance offers free or reduced cost Microsoft software to our faculty and students.
Faculty and staff may also obtain additional software via programs that have been established for the campus (see this link) or by checking out software from the library (see this link).
Finally, there are some free editions of some Engineering software, and some is available through the College of Engineering license servers:
