What is UNIX?

UNIX is a multi-user, multi-tasking operating system. UNIX is designed to be used by many people at the same time (it is multi-user) and and can do multiple tasks or operations at the same time (multi-tasking). It is also one of the most common operating systems for servers on the Internet.

What is A.C.L.?

ACL or Access Control List is a method for limiting the use of a specific resource to authorized users. A list that specifies what access privileges users have to a directory, specifically, the right to lookup, insert, delete, read, write, lock, or administer files in a directory (abbreviated as l, i, d, r, w, k, a, respectively).
