What is Xess?

Xess is a spreadsheet application for use with the UNIX operating system. Xess is similar to Microsoft Excel in that it can be used for the storing of numbers, the computation of data, and the filing of pertinent information. Xess can also be used to perform graphical analysis of large sets of data and produce various types of plots such as pie charts, line graphs, and bar graphs. Xess is used by users who prefer to use the UNIX operating system for their computing needs and require an spreadsheet program to complete their tasks. .

This can be accessed in Xess by navigating to Help  located in the upper right hand corner of the application and clicking on the Index option.
