Adobe Reader has a very useful help section located within the application. The How To Section should be visible on the right hand side of the screen when the application starts. If it is not there it can be accessed by clicking on help and selecting the how to section. It will appear on the right hand side of your screen and should look like the image below. Select the topic you need help with and it will give you a description of that topic.
