What is of Solidworks?
Solidworks is a 3D CAD program used to construct three dimensional solid models. These models can range from simple boxes to a complex assembly consisting of multiple models linked together. Solidworks allows the user to construct solid models of many different systems and customize the model in a multitude of ways including: movable parts, animations, and the ability to perform a basic finite element analysis (FEA). Solidworks is a substitute for the other solid modeling programs on the Mosaic network, Pro Engineer and Autodesk Inventor. Solidworks is mainly used by mechanical engineering majors in classes, such as Junior and Senior Design, which call for the design of a system.
