What is MathCad?
Mathcad is a calculation software package, which is mainly used by mechanical engineering majors. Some of the courses that Mathcad is used for may be Junior Design, Thermal Fluids Design, and Thermal Fluids Lab. Mathcad allows the user to solve engineering scenarios more easily than could be done without a calculation package. This application has several characteristics, which are user friendly and make Mathcad a valuable engineering tool. These features include: keeping track of units throughout a calculation, the ability to simultaneously solve systems of equations, several different forms of graphical analysis, matrix manipulation, and the ability to evaluate limits, derivatives, and integrals.
