How to configure Mozilla Thunderbird to read E-Mail.

In order to read your E-mail, you will have to change your Thunderbird Mail settings. The following steps will guide you through the process.

1. CLick on Tools -> Account Settings.
   

2. Click on Add Account at the bottom of the window.
   

3. Select Email Account and click Next.
   

4. Enter your name and email address and click Next.
   

5. CLick on IMAP and enter the server names. The incoming server is ironhost.uncc.edu. Then click Next.
   

6. Enter your username for both lines and click Next.
   

7. Enter your account name and click Next.
   

8. Double check the settings and click on Finish to exit the wizard.

9. Now type in the outgoing mail server, which is ironhost.uncc.edu then click OK. Because the UNCC server uses smtp authentication you will be asked to enter your password the first time you send out email during each session.
