Connecting Manually From a Windows System
- Start the terminal program (Start-->Run "mstsc.exe"). You should see a window similiar to Figure 1.

- Select Options. In the "General"tab enter the name of the remote desktop system you want to connect to. Note that you must include the ".uncc.edu". (At this time we offer rws1.uncc.edu through rws30.uncc.edu.) Do not enter your username and/or password as the Mosaic logon screen will prompt you for your information.
You may save your connection configurations using the "Save As" button. If you make changes under another tab you must still save your changes in this tab.

- If you want to access your local hard drive or a printer that is connected to your local computer go to the "Local Resources" tab and check the boxes next to disk drives and printers. You may also determine how keystroke combinations such as CNTRL-ALT are interpreted. You must save your selections before you connect to the rws in order for them to be effective.

- In the "Experience" tab you may identify the the speed or type of internet connection that you have to alter the way the terminal program displays informaion.

- When you are finished you may select "Connect" and a MSTSC window connection to the MosaicAnywhere system you specified will open. Note the small bar across the top of the screen which contains the standard Windows minimize, window/full screen, and close icons. These apply to your local machine, ONLY.
