In order to change your password from a Windows based system, follow this click progression. Start --> All Programs --> Mosaic XP --> Mosaic Utilities --> Mosaic Password Change. This is illustrated below in figure one.

Figure 1Once you have clicked on the Mosaic Password Change application, a dialog box will appear asking for a username, current password, new password, and new password verification. Fill in the appropriate boxes and your password will be changed. Top
Under Unix, there are two different ways to change your password. The first method involves using the CDE menu system, available by right clicking on your unix desktop. Follow the click progression Mosaic --> Mosaic Utilities --> Change Password to bring up the change password box (as shown in figure two).

Figure 2The second method involves using your Unix Terminal window and some command line instructions. To open your Terminal window, invoke the menu by right clicking on the desktop and then select programs --> Terminal. This is shown in figure three.

Figure 3Once the terminal is open use the command changepassword to change your mosaic password, as illustrated below.
% changepassword
Mosaic Password Change X.X
Changing Password for: username
Enter current password:
Enter new password:
Re-Enter new password:Changing AFS...
Changing NT...Password Change was Successful
Under Linux, open up a Terminal window (System Tools --> Terminal). Then follow the command line instructions provided below.
% changepassword
Mosaic Password Change X.X
Changing Password for: username
Enter current password:
Enter new password:
Re-Enter new password:Changing AFS...
