WebPE was developed to support team projects in the Freshman Engineering program. It allows the instructor to create teams of students who will provide peer evaluations of each other's participation in a common project. Using a web-based interface the instructor enters a set of evaluation questions for which students must provide either a numerical rating, a multiple choice response or a free form comment for each of their teammates. The instructor also sets time periods during which the student evaluations may be entered and after which students may review their own evaluations. Students enter and review evaluations using a series of web forms, and they may change their evaluations of their peers up until the final due date. Once the students have entered their evaluations, the instructor may view thier responses in tabular format via a web browser, or they may save the responses into a format suitable for importing into a Spreadsheet or Database application.
