What is ENGR 3295?

ENGR 3295 is a multi-disciplinary professional development course offered to juniors and seniors in the Civil & Environmental, Electrical & Computer and Mechanical Engineering programs. The course is offered each fall and spring semester. This course is required for graduation in our college. It is a 1 credit hour, pass/no credit course. You will not receive a letter grade for this course. Grading is based on attendance and completed homework assignments.

What is the course content?

The syllabus for fall 2008 provides a schedule of all course topics and events (including locations) and links for the homework assignments.  It also identifies which sessions are required and which are optional and explains grading, attendance and points of contact. We suggest you print out a copy of this syllabus and carry it with you to class each week.  It is YOUR responsibility to know what sessions are required and which are optional.

Is homework required and counted?

YES, homework is required and must be completed in order to pass this course.

Web Homework is the tool that is used to ‘collect’ homework for this course.

·         Please be sure you SELECT the course: ENGR 3295 and YOUR SECTION: (C= Civil & Environmental, E= Computer & Electrical, M= Mechanical).   YOU are responsible for ensuring your homework is submitted to the correct course and section on time.

·         For problems with WebHW, please copy and paste the following into your browser: https://www.coe.uncc.edu/cgi-bin/homework/WebHW  if that does not work, please contact the MOSAIC student help desk for technical errors.

Links for the homework assignments can be found on the syllabus or you can click on them here:   ASSN # 1,   ASSN # 2 ,   (ASSN # 3 and ASSN # 4 will be activated at a later time).

Extra Outside seminar slips can be obtain at each class session or you can print off your own copy.   *Typically Open Sessions will have special ‘pre-printed’ slips which will be handed out at the END of each of the open sessions.

PLEASE be sure your FULL NAME is printed on each and every seminar slip!  Slips can be turned in any time throughout the course. ALL slips MUST be turned in by 12/5/08, 5:00 pm to Smith 228.
